The Challenge

Bite is a brand built around food culture, exclusive drops, and curated events. While the design was visually strong and editorial, it wasn’t adapted for e-commerce. The main challenge was to turn this concept into a flexible Shopify store that allows the team to:

  • manage different product types (events, drops, merch)
  • integrate email marketing
  • showcase live Instagram content
  • and maintain the brand’s unique visual identity

What We Did

  • [ 01 ]Built a custom Shopify theme from scratch → fully implemented the design with pixel-perfect accuracy
  • [ 02 ]Created a custom product structure using metafields: → Live Drops, Past Drops, Apparel (merch) → added fields such as date, location, drop type, and status
  • [ 03 ]Integrated Klaviyo: → email capture in the hero section → automated flows (drop announcements, abandoned cart, follow-ups)
  • [ 04 ]Added Instagram Instafeed integration: → automatically displays real content from events → seamlessly matches the website design
  • [ 05 ]Implemented custom animations: → smooth scroll-based content appearance → hover effects for cards and CTAs → subtle storytelling without impacting performance
  • [ 06 ]Optimized performance: → fast loading despite heavy visual content → mobile-first responsive layout

The Result

  • We delivered a fully custom Shopify store that preserves Bite’s unique editorial style while functioning as a high-performing e-commerce platform. The website now serves as a unified system for managing drops, events, merch, and content in one place. With Klaviyo integration, the brand can run automated email campaigns and stay connected with its audience, while the embedded Instagram feed brings real-time community content directly to the site. The platform is optimized for performance and mobile devices, providing a smooth user experience and giving the client a scalable foundation for future growth.
